The Sea Porto Hotel, which opened its doors at the beginning of the month in Matosinhos, had a private investment of five million euros and created 20 jobs. The two dozen employees have higher education and experience in hotels and restaurants, the unit’s source told Lusa. With 57 rooms and five meeting rooms with total capacity for 560 seats, the concept of the hotel is based on the sea and the naval and port tradition of the Port of Leixões and Matosinhos, with references to the work of the architect Siza Vieira and the landscape of the city of Porto, stressed the investors. The hotel unit also provides recharging points for electric vehicles in its private garage.
